HEAT TREATMENTS IN CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE

Heat treatments are carried out in a controlled atmosphere with blowing of nitrogen or argon with achievement of levels of saturation of 99.9%.

The treatment methodology proposed by us can be a valid alternative to vacuum heat treatments especially for large parts.

THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT IS PARTICULARLY INDICATED FOR:

  • Duplex steels
  • Titanium alloys
  • Aluminium alloys
  • aerospace sector where it is important that the piece does not suffer decreases thick due to oxidation
  • Hastelloy
  • Special Steals

MAIN TYPES OF TREATMENT

  • Solution heat treatments
  • Solution treatments in controlled atmosphere
  • Stress relieving heat treatments in controlled atmosphere
  • Annealing heat treatments in controlled atmosphere
  • Normalization heat treatments in controlled atmosphere

ADVANTAGES

Cancellation of the level of oxidation of the material even at high temperatures.

Possibility of non-invasive processing of large pieces that can not be treated in vacuum ovens, even for excessive burdens. Our innovative methodology, in fact, allows a high economy due above all to the greater efficiency that our newly designed oven can offer.

FEATURES OF THE NEWLY DEVELOPED CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE FURNACE

  • Sizes: Dn 2,55 x 1,10 mt
  • Power supply: electricity
  • Max Temperature: 1200°C
  • Max Flow Up: 9000 Kg
  • Temperature Uniformity: ∓0,1 °C
  • Maximum cooling gradient: 3000°C/h in nitrogen

ALTERNATIVE APPLICATION

Our oven can also be used, alternatively, for brazing or welding in an inert atmosphere on titanium alloys.

Stress relieving heat treatments are also carried out for relieving stress of manufactured articles made from metal powders with 3D printers.
