HEAT
TREATMENTS
IN FURNACE
The heat treatment furnaces are located outdoors, in an area of about 10,000 sqm used for material handling and storage operations. To unload the larger pieces, two gantry cranes with a capacity of 8 and 30T and two truck-mounted cranes with a capacity of 40T and 50T are used. Considerable-sized pieces can therefore be handled, even exceeding 100T. Whenever the client’s requirements call for the absence of surface oxidation during the process, heat treatments in a controlled atmosphere are also carried out, particularly on large pieces.
